DUSHANBE, June 6, 2013, Asia-Plus – Sozandagoni Vatan (Homeland Builders), which is the youth organization of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has abandoned its plan to create the social network in the Tajik language.
Sozandagoni Vatan leader Adham Mirsaidov says they have worked out the social network layout in cooperation with students from Tajik Technological University but later they have been faced with financial difficulties. “Besides, a powerful server is needed for launching the social network,” Mirsaidov noted.
He further added that Tajik users had already got accustomed to mega-scale social networks such as Odnoklassniki and Facebook. “The point is that many foreign users are visiting these social networks and Tajik users like to communicate with them,” Sozandagoni Vatan leader noted.
The PDP created the Sozandagoni Vatan organization in 2011 and its founding conference took place on July 27, 2011. The conference elected Adham Mirsaidov, formerly head of the PDP organizing department, chairman of the Sozandagoni Vatan organization. The organization was registered with the Ministry of Justice in November 2011.
The main objective of the organization is in fostering a spirit of patriotism, devotion to ideas of national self-consciousness and independence of the country in the young generation.
