Famous Tajik actor Sherali Qaisov died today morning in Dushanbe at the age of 70.
The People’s Artist of Tajikistan Sherali Qaisov was hospitalized several days ago after he was diagnosed with COVID-19.
He had gone medical treatment at the National Medical Center “Shifobakhsh” (Qariyai Bolo Hospital) in Dushanbe.
Sherali Qaisov was born on April 15, 1951 in Rushan district, the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).
He graduated from the Faculty of the Art and Acting at the Dushanbe Teachers’ Training Institute in 1973. After graduating from the institute, Sherali Qaisov started working with the he Tajik Academic Drama Theatre named after Abulqasem Lohouti in Dushanbe. He had worked with this theater all his life.
Besides, Sherali Qaisov had also headed he Acting Faculty at the Institute of Arts named after Mirzo Tursunzoda.
Known Tajik businessman Qayum Odinayev died of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 in Dushanbe on July 11 at the age of 50.
He had reportedly gone medical treatment for the novel coronavirus at the Hospital named after Ahmadov (Pervy Sovetsky Hospital) in Dushanbe.
Qayum Odinayev was one of owners of the gold mining artel Odina, which is engaged in developing gold deposits in the Shugnov are of Khovaling district in Khatlon province. The enterprise that was established by brothers Odinayev in 1999 was granted a license for developing gold deposits in the area of 134 hectares in Shugnov in 2007.
