Afghanistan’s central bank (Da Afghanistan Bank) announced that Afghanistan International Bank (AIB) received the fourth batch of dollars in cash that contained US$19.2 million, Khaama Press reported on December 16..
The money is reportedly part of humanitarian aids from the United Nations to Afghanistan that arrived in Kabul on Wednesday, December 15.
Prior to that Afghanistan had received the same amount of dollars in cash both by the UN and UNAMA.
It comes as Afghanistan is now going through the toughest times when it comes to having dollars in cash in the banks.
Economic analysts believe that cash can solve the problem of the absence of cash and the highest price of dollars against Afghani.
The UN has decided to be sending Afghanistan US$20 million every week until March 2022.
